About Lava Sportswear Production

Our manufacturers are based in Italy, Europe and Asia They operate according to European and global standards of fair trade. To keep our production as sustainable as possible, we choose to produce our products as close to the source of the fabric as possible. This is in order to reduce the transport of fabrics and accessories to the packaging and printing location. In some other cases we use the collaboration with some partners for the finishing of garments in Italy.

UPF Rating System

The UPF rate indicates how much of the sun's UV radiation is absorbed by the fabric. For example, a fabric with a UPF rating of 40 only allows 1/40th of the sun's UV radiation to pass through it. This means that this fabric will reduce your skin's UV radiation exposure by 40 times (97,5% UV block) in areas where the skin is protected by the fabric.
